How should I position the belt?
The SI belt should be worn around the hips, just below the belt line. It should sit across the sacral area (the lower part of your back just above the buttocks) and below the iliac crest (the top part of your hip bones on the sides).
How tight should it be?
The belt should feel snug but not too tight to avoid discomfort or circulation issues. You should be able to breathe and move comfortably without the belt shifting. You can easily adjust the tightness with the elastic tension straps.
How long should I wear the belt?
When you start wearing the belt, we recommend wearing it for most of the day. However, the exact duration depends on your specific situation and you may prefer to wear the belt only during activities that increase pelvic or back pain.
Can I wear the belt while sleeping?
Yes, you can also wear the belt during the night. There is no limitation to how long the belt can be worn and wearing it for longer periods of time will not cause any negative effects.
Should I consult my doctor or PT?
Every condition is slightly different and we always recommend to consult your doctor or physical therapist. They can help tailor the use of the belt to your specific needs, ensuring you gain the maximum benefit without adverse effects.
